An experienced litigator and partner at Chaitons LLP, Chris brings considerable knowledge and expertise to his practice. While Chris’ principal focus is on estate, banking and mortgage litigation, he also has experience in cases involving capacity, shareholder remedies, competition, product liability, professional negligence, construction and health law. Chris has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario as well as various administrative tribunals. Chris’ clients range from trust companies and financial institutions to private and public corporations and private individuals. His in-depth knowledge of both the legal and business arenas enables Chris to handle even the most complex situations.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1985, Chris pursued a law degree at the University of Ottawa from which he graduated magna cum laude in 1988. Chris was subsequently called to the Bar in Ontario in 1990.

Chris writes a blog on current estates law issues entitled Estates and Elder Law in Canada. He has written articles and given presentations on various areas of the law and is a former co-editor of Williston & Rolls Court Forms
