A partner with Chaitons LLP, Gary has built his practice around commercial insolvency, receivership and corporate restructurings. While he has extensive experience acting on behalf of the Special Accounts Management Unit of a prominent Canadian bank, he also advises individual lenders and private corporations. Gary lends his expertise on all aspects of commercial restructuring and security enforcement including interim and permanent financing opportunities in distress situations. He also acts as counsel in insolvency, receivership and creditor litigation matters.

Gary is a graduate of Toronto’s York University and the University of Windsor Law School where he obtained his LL.B. in 1977. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1979. Gary joined Chaitons LLP in 1986 following a number of years as a partner at another Toronto law firm.

Gary speaks to select groups and individuals on a range of bankruptcy and insolvency issues.  He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and is an active supporter of Colon Cancer Canada, Gilda’s Club, The Floyd Honey Foundation, United Way and The Simon Wiesenthal Centre.
